Parent and Community Volunteers

In offering to volunteer in our schools, parents and community members truly provide the students with real life models of service.

Volunteers have played a major role in Catholic education since the time when parishioners joined their efforts to establish the first Catholic schools. The tradition of volunteerism has been strong in our schools and each year grows stronger as more people, parents as well as community members, become involved.

To become a volunteer at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Academy, please review and complete the forms to the left and return them to the office.  Please see the OLS office staff for Drivers Abstract Form and RCMP / Criminal History Clearance.

Student Volunteers

Volunteering is a great way for our students to give back to the community.  It also assists students in grade 10 to 12 with listed opportunities to complete their annual volunteer hours.

Grizzly Mountain Events

Grizzly Mountain Events is a local events company that for the past 10 years has helped many charities raise over $600,00 for deserving causes. To date, they have hosted over 30,000 event participants and generated millions in revenues for the local Canmore hospitality / small business industry.

They also provide services and equipment for many Town Of Canmore Community events such as Canada Day / New Year's Eve Celebrations, Party On The Pond, Winter Carnival and much more...

They donate 100% of their time and equipment every year to managing the annual Terry Fox Run in Canmore.

Crossway Thrift

Crossway Community Thrift Store is a non-profit organization based in Canmore which provides its customers with a great place to shop for affordable necessities such as furniture, clothing and much much more.  Proceeds from sales go back into the community.

Banff Marathon

With many local and international participants and over 300 volunteers, the Banff Marathon is showcasing the region on a global stage as one of the most beautiful running destinations in the world. This is your chance to be part of a world class event and to help athletes achieve their goals!

One of the most important ingredients in a successful marathon is the volunteers.  Volunteers make it possible to conduct a safe, well-organized event.  Volunteers will find their task fun and exciting!  At the end of the day, they will feel like they made a valuable contribution to the success of the race.  If you volunteer we urge you to be energetic and enthusiastic, but above all, HAVE FUN! Secure your place now and don’t miss out on the opportunity to get involved in bringing this event to life.
