Congratulations to our Christian Witness Award Winner, Anthea Messier!! She consistently integrates principles of the Catholic faith into her counselling practices and class presentations; incorporating the virtues of faith, compassion, hope, and love. She is accepting of all individuals and supports students where they are at. She embodies the meaning of “leave not one heart behind” and goes above and beyond daily. We are so blessed to have her as part of our OLS team!

“Remember that you are dust and to dust you shall return”. The ashes that we received on our foreheads during our liturgy today are a symbol of penance made sacramental by the blessing of the Church. Over the next 40 days we are called to fast, pray and give to lead us to the heart of what Lent is about—a deeper connection to God.

Today we gathered together for the Living Rosary to commemorate the World Day of the Sick. Pope Francis reminds us that we are called to “care for those who suffer and are alone, perhaps marginalized and cast aside.” We pray for all the sick members of our community and ask for the intercession of Mary.
Senior high French students had the opportunity to visit la belle province this past week. Joined by students from Holy Cross Collegiate in Strathmore, students experienced the rich history of Quebec—from world famous Montreal bagels to the beautiful Notre Dame basilica. Memories from this language and culture immersive experience will last students a lifetime. Merci Ms. Fricot for organizing and chaperoning this trip!
