Jeff A. D. Martin was our Gr. 7-12 Virtual Guest Speaker for WOW week this week! Talking about self-worth and resiliency he shared personal stories of triumphing over other people’s judgement. Some studies show that 1 in 5 students suffer from depression and/or anxiety. One of Jeff’s favorite keynote topics is about finding your self-worth and believing in who you are. Thank you to School Council for making this presentation a possibility!

Since 2012, our school has been sponsoring a young girl named Chisala in Zambia through Chalice, a Catholic development organization. Not only is this a healthy food option for families, it is an incredible fundraiser! 50% of the money raised returns to our school to support Chisala. The deadline for ordering is Thursday, September 23rd. Veggies will be delivered to the school on Tuesday, October 5th. More details can be found in the weekly principal’s message.

The countdown is on! We are so excited to see our returning faces and the new faces joining us this year! Just a reminder of our staggered entry for Gr 1-12. ➡️ Wednesday, September 1 - Last Name A to K for Gr 1-12 ➡️Thursday, September 2 - Last Name of L to Z for Gr 1-12 ➡️ Friday, September 3 - All Gr 1-12 Students Our Kindergarten staggered entry was emailed to each family separately as it differs from the rest of the school.

Please note, our kindergarten staggered entry was sent out via email at the beginning of July and differs from the information below, which applies to our grade 1-12 students. We look forward to seeing everyone soon!

After 20 years at OLS, today was Mr. Targa’s last day! It was bitter sweet as we are excited for his retirement but he will be missed! Thank you for sharing your time and talents with us over the last 20 years!
