The Homelessness Society of the Bow Valley (HSBV) is dedicated to supporting individuals facing housing insecurity in our community through vital programs like the Emergency Winter Shelter and Outreach initiatives. Their efforts provide essential services and a safe haven for those in need. Our Grade 7 students have wrapped up their Heat and Temperature unit in science with a hands-on challenge! They’re building thermally efficient houses to test insulation and heat retention. If the snow on the roof doesn’t melt, their designs are well-insulated! If the inside stays warm despite the cold, they’ve built an energy-efficient home.
