This past week, staff and students spent time learning about and partaking in Holy Week. This Good Friday, we pray you and your family find peace in God’s promise of salvation and have a blessed Easter break. #olsfaith
During our Holy Thursday Liturgy today, staff washed the feet of students. Although the washing of the feet imitates Jesus' act of love for his disciples on the night before he died, it is not a re-enactment of that moment of Jesus' life. It is a ritual that signifies our participation in Christ's mission of love and service to one another and to those in need in our world today. #olsfaith
Kindergarten students are learning about Holy Week and creating beautiful colouring pieces! Holy Week is a time to remember and participate in the Passion of Jesus Christ. The Passion was the final period of Christ’s life in Jerusalem; spanning from when He arrived in Jerusalem to when He was crucified. #olsfaith
Senior High Food’s students joined grade ones yesterday to make pretzels, a Lenten symbol of the form of arms crossed in prayer, reminding us that Lent is a time of prayer. #olsfaith
Today is Palm Sunday, the final Sunday of Lent, the beginning of Holy Week, which commemorates the triumphant arrival of Christ in Jerusalem, days before he was crucified. As we prepare our hearts for Holy Week, we are reminded of Jesus’s humble entrance into Jerusalem during Palm Sunday.
We are hiring a full-time custodian at OLS. Please see the flyer for more details and direct questions to the email outlined below.

The traps are ready! No leprechaun is getting by us this year with their mischief!
Our grade fives had the opportunity to go on a field trip to Rocky Mountain Soap and made bath bombs as part of their hands-on learning. Students will be selling them for $5, Tuesday, March 14 as a Lenten project, with funds helping those experiencing homelessness in the Bow Valley as well as those in need of relief in Syria and Turkey.
What a great opportunity for students!
