Throughout this week, OLS students have been taking part in age-appropriate learning, raising awareness of the impact of residential schools, honouring the experience of survivors, their families and communities, and building cultural awareness. May God bless Canada’s Truth and Reconciliation process. 🧡
Motivational speaker Sam Demma gave an energetic and humorous talk to our jr. and sr. high students today. He challenged students to “unpack their backpacks” full of negativity and dream big. His message that small, consistent actions can change the world, was a call to inspire students to “be the taco” in someone else’s life—meaning a life of kindness and service to others can change the world! 🌮 #emptyyourbackpack
Did you know that when Our Lady of the Snows opened its doors in 2001, we had 8 staff members and 58 students? We now have 50 staff members and 604 students! Parent involvement has always been an integral part of enhancing our school and student experiences by providing funding and support for sports, academics, the arts and other programming. Tonight is your chance to be a part of our rich and vibrant school community. We invite all parents and guardians to join us tonight at our first school council meeting. 7:00 in the band room. Golf Zones were held today in Turner Valley, where Seth won with a winning score of 75 (+3)…for us non-golfers, we are told that’s pretty awesome! Way to go Seth!!
We hosted our annual Meet the Teacher evening tonight! Thanks to everyone who came!

We had our first fire drill of the school year today! OLS and NDM plan all our emergency drills together and our first one was a great success!

Today we had our first school-wide mass! What a great way to start the year, by coming together to learn about and celebrate our faith!

The countdown is on!! All our staff are continuing their journey of life long learning today and tomorrow and are participating in professional development! We can’t wait to see everyone Tuesday, September 5.
Our last post for the 2022-2023 school year! We wanted to celebrate a few of our staff members who were the recipients of CTR's Awards! Truly well deserved!
Our last day of the school year was bittersweet with some of our staff and students moving on to new adventures and beginnings. May God guide you and protect you wherever you go and may you all have a safe and blessed summer!
